I'd say the friendship between Mikey and Baji is more similar to that of Draken and Mitsuya, whereas the friendship between Mikey and Draken resembles more the one of Baji and Kazutora.Anon requested: Mikey, Draken, twins Kawata and Mitsuya reacting or discovering that their younger sister is also part of a gang and the leader. рџ‚ He could be his most childish self around him, act spoiled, etc, and Draken took care of him in that sense, but also had some sort of awe/respect towards him. On the other hand, Draken was his mom, pretty much. So, in conclusion, Baji was Mikey's bestie, bro, 'rival', and (in a sense) equal. Also, we've seen how much they cared about each other, and how far they were able to go for each other, when Baji willingly took a beating to protect Mikey's moped, just because he treasured it, and Mikey broke it himself when he saw his friend getting hurt because of a piece of junk. So their ranks don't speak anything about their closeness. He appointed Mikey as the leader, Draken as the vice-leader since he was the most reliable out of 6 of them, and eventually gave himself (and Kazutora) the position of the attack squad, even though he was the one that founded Toman. As for the positions they all held in Toman, Baji was the one that gave them those positions. He kept challenging Mikey despite always losing to him, but that means they had some sort of friendly rivalry going on. Baji didn't take the role of Mikey's babysitter, cause he himself probably needed one as well (not so much to babysit him, but make sure he doesn't accidentally set himself on fire, or something xD). Baji grew up with him, they fooled around together as kids, but as has been pointed out, they perceived each other more as 'equals' in some sense.
